Civil Liberties in the USA
Civil liberties are the personal rights that you have as a New Zealander.

Some of these rights include:

  • Freedom of speech
  • Freedom of the press
  • Freedom of religion
  • The right to a fair trial
  • Freedom from arbitrary arrest or detention
  • The right to be free from discrimination
  • The right to marry and have a family
  • The right to work
  • The right to vote
  • The right to own and bequeath property

These rights are protected legally and are enforceable in the USA in various ways.
