They will inflate the price to get the listing and others will avoid it because they don't want to be quoted later on.

When selecting an agent, ask them this question, “What will you do to get me the best price for my home?” If they can't answer to your satisfaction, move on to someone else. The fact is, if you can't find an agent that you think you can work with and trust, then move on to someone else, or sell the home yourself.
