How to Sell your Property Yourself
If you are not comfortable handing over a large commission cheque to a real estate agent, then selling your house yourself may be the best option.

Selling it yourself, however, is not as simple as it sounds. There are many things to be followed and you have to know what you are doing. With a little tenacity and a lot of common sense, there is no reason why you can't sell it just as well as an agent, by following the correct steps.

Here are some tips that may help you:

  1. Signage - Make sure you have a sign outside your house. Buyers always have a hard time finding houses, no matter where they are located, so use directional signs to help them find your property. If you do this, however, get the necessary approvals from the local councils so you are acting within the law.

  2. Curb Appeal - Make sure you have maximum curb appeal. Curb appeal is the impression buyers get when they first pull up to your house. It's crucial when showcasing your house. Be sure that the outside lawns, hedges and flowerbeds are all trimmed and look...
