How Do you - Use Business Cards for Introductions
Your business card is your introduction to potential clients and customers. It is important that you have a well-designed, high quality business card. Your business card is your unique opportunity to tell everyone you come in contact with that you have something to offer, and that they should deal with you.
Your cards should be simple, yet classy, with the right colours, creating the impression that you want people to receive information about your business. They should entice people rather than bore them. Stay away from fancy designs or prints. There is nothing more frustrating than business cards that are difficult to read.
Keep the business card spacious – that is, don’t cram with too much detail so the card looks crowded.
The main things that you need to put on your business card are:
- Your name, address, phone number.
- Your fax and website.
- Your email address.
- If so desired, a one liner describing your business is quite acceptable. This line may be a promotional statement such as ‘200 years of family service’.
