After you have decided on the type of business you wish to buy, begin to investigate the various options available to you. Looking for the right business can take some time, so it would be wise to start the process early once you have decided to go into business.

You may already have a business in mind and it might only be a matter of negotiating the price. But then again, you may be starting from the ground floor, having to spend time looking at a shortlist of available businesses - then taking the necessary steps, investigating each one before making a choice.
