It does not matter how much talent an individual has, it will be hard to reach to top of the ladder of success in their chosen field, without the aid of an experienced coach. There is something about having an independent coach, viewing the performance from the sideline and noting areas needing correction.  The world has changed dramatically in this whole area.

The top sports coaches today do not direct or order players anymore, because they have found this does not work. They set challenges and then assess the results, plus listen to the feedback before coming up with recommendations to enable that person to achieve high results. The coach creates an environment where the sportsperson is able to develop their skills and gifts, and hopefully they will realise their full potential.
