6 Steps to Building a Winning Sales Team
Here are a few of the strategies that you can use to improve the performance of your sales team.
- Step 1 - Analyse the problems of your sales people. It may be that your sales people do not believe in themselves. Some of them may not have experienced success in sales yet so they need a role model to work with. It is your role as a sales manager to set a leadership example and to be the role model for these people who are starting in sales.
- Step 2 - Take your time. If you have just arrived on the scene then it is best for you to take your time to understand how everything works before you start putting in place strategies for your sales team.
- Step 3 - Seek a high standard. Do not accept a performance that is less than excellent. As someone once said, there is only one thing that is worse than somebody that quits, and that is somebody that quits and stays. It is no use having sales people that are not prepared to excel in their vocation. Do not settle for anything less than a good performance.
